Food fanatics and lovers of local produce will get their fix at the upcoming Taste of Thomastown Food Festival. In its third year the affectionately named ‘Taste of Thomo’ celebrates the diversity and abundance of food made, manufactured and grown in our northern reaches.
Organised by Thomastown Neighbourhood House and supported by the City of Whittlesea and Yarra Plenty Regional Libraries, this is a true community event. Local artisans Bertocchi Small Goods, That’s Amore Cheese and Oliana Food, are just some of the businesses who will be in attendance. Local coffee and pastry makers will join them along with other regional providores. Together, they’ll be putting on a fantastic spread of free tastings, plus food demonstrations and stalls.
Set to be as popular as ever, hundreds are expected to flock to Thomastown Library to enjoy world-class local produce, tasty dips, cheeses, sweets and smallgoods.
This year, the kids’ art studio will also return, with food-themed activities on offer throughout the day to keep little ones entertained. In terms of other amusement, there will be live music and workshops from local community garden group Links, Merri Creek Management and plant sales from heritage-listed Ziebell’s Farm House.
The Taste of Thomastown Food Festival will be held on Saturday 7 September at Thomastown Library from 10am – 2pm.
Don’t miss this delectable experience!
