Cheeseday at That’s Amore

For over a century, dairy was the economic mainstay of the Whittlesea area. Large quantities of milk and butter were produced for the nearby Melbourne market up until the 1960s. Today, that tradition continues in Thomastown, a little slice of heaven where dairy products shine.

A recent award winner at the 2019 Australian Grand Dairy Awards for their Buffalo Ricotta, That’s Amore has continued to thrive since opening in 2008. And this year, they will once again bring our cheese dreams to life at Cheeseday, a dedicated event for the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

Happening on Sunday, March 10, That’s Amore are offering a range of experiences that will take you on a journey through Italy! There will be masterclasses, cheese tastings, live music and more, all hosted by the man behind this cheese celebration, Giorgio Linguanti.

If you’d like to learn from the best, the masterclasses on offer will teach you how to craft your own Italian cheese from scratch! But, if you’d prefer to eat rather than make, there are a couple of very tempting options available to enjoy. The cheese degustation includes a sampling of speciality cheeses paired with a delicious glass of wine. And finally, there is a lunch option if you’re feeling particularly decadent. Here, guests can expect an Italian trifecta – a selection of antipasto, main and gelato, with a glass of wine of course!

Get your tickets via the MFWF website, we’re sure you’ll have a gouda time!
