What’s On at the Whittlesea Show

Whittlesea Show
2 – 3 November
9am – 5pm daily
Whittlesea Showgrounds

The countdown is on to the Whittlesea Show, where entertainment will delight and animals will amaze! Celebrating its 160th year, the show’s theme is, appropriately, ‘Generation to Generation’. Each pavilion at the show will pay homage to this theme in some way, honouring the traditions of Whittlesea’s agricultural pioneers and celebrating the progression and advancements made in the industry over the years.

Animals Galore!

Being an agricultural show, there will be plenty of four-legged furry friends about! Cattle and sheep will be on show, and the horses will be hot to trot, amazing crowds in a range of showjumping competitions across the whole weekend. Kiddies will love the Fun Dog Show, a quirky comp open to all dogs on the day! With categories like the best pair and dog with the happiest smile, it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. To top off the farmyard fun, there will also be a nursery with many baby animals to cuddle.

Attractions, Entertainment and More

There really is something for everyone at this Whittlesea institution. Expect a huge display of entries from local schools, photography and homecrafts as well as horticulture and the excitement of the woodchop!

And of course, what show is complete without carnival rides and showbags? There’ll be heaps on offer including free stagecoach rides, circus and roving attractions. The grounds will also have great trade exhibits from cars to food and even a strong man and woman completion! The Mounted games will also return this year, much to the delight of those who have enjoyed their events in the past.

Finally, the Grand Parade will be held at the main arena at 3pm each day of the show. A spectacle not to be missed that highlights the very best of the show.

One of Victoria’s largest agricultural shows, over 50,000 visitors are expected to attend over the weekend. Don’t miss your opportunity to join in the fun, visit the Whittlesea Show website for more information about attractions and admission.
